POWER HOUSE - HOLLYWOOD BLVD.
JANUARY 2025

  • It was a quiet Tuesday night, Sol was working behind the bar, I was posted up solo. I caught the scene mid-sip, with disco lights blinking off liquor bottles and red glow bouncing off the copper bar. The ID on the counter, the empty shot glasses, the empty seat next to me… all of it told a story. I wasn’t drunk, just present. Soaking in the color, the quiet, and the hum of stories trapped in wood grain. Power House always has this vintage grit that makes it feel like home and danger at the same time.

  • POWERHOUSE’S SHINEY” is a lush, lived-in collage full of neon heat and emotional residue. Jake Williams takes us inside one of Hollywood’s last true dive bars, and he does it with intimacy and swagger. The composition feels like memory unfolding: wood, metal, ID card, and scattered glass speak volumes without anyone needing to say a word. Sol’s mid-laugh silhouette adds humanity to the otherwise architectural layering. Williams doesn’t just show us the room, he invites us to sit down and feel the weight of a night unfolding.
